The Story of JAPA DOG
In May 2005 “JAPA DOG” Opened in Vancouver, BC. When President Noriki Tamura opened in the beginning as a Japanese style Hot Dog it was not particularly popular, but he kept after it and it is continuing to become a very popular item in Vancouver. There are also times when you will need to stand in line for your lunch or dinner. Noriki likes to be called Nori. He is from Tochigi and Japan. Following graduation from the department of economics at Aoyama-Gakuin University in Tokyo, he began working for Johnson & Johnson Ltd. and Recruit Ltd. in Tokyo and Japan. He was in the sales department doing Advertisement and Consulting. His clients were big companies of Franchise chains and small restaurants. He eats about 200 Hot Dogs a year!!! (he says he needs to lose weight). His hobbies are: Reading and Sports/Baseball (no wonder he likes Hot Dogs). His favorite Hot Dogs are: 1. Jalapeno & Smokey Cheese with extra cheese and Terimayo-style!!!! It is do delicious!!! 2. Oroshi with wasabi-mayo and chili sauce and Japanese hotpepper. 3. Misomayo

Japa Dog has been featured in magazines, newspapers, tour guide books as well as on the radio,TV-news and TV around the world on Anthony Bourdain: NO RESERVATIONS. Also many famous Hot Dog lovers have come and eaten at the Japa Dog: Steven Seagal, Peter Stormare, Daniel Dae Kim and Arnold Schwarzenegger came near Japa Dog (just near)
